Weg

I prefer to conduct counseling sessions during a walk in nature (Walk-and-Talk), because I often feel that one thinks more freely when in motion. Compared to a cozy room, the comfort is reduced, but walking outside we are immersed in the world and share experiences, which also helps getting to know each other. For me, this approach feels very natural and effective.

There are many places in Leipzig that are suitable for a Walk-and-Talk, and we always decide together where to meet. If we both brings some refreshments, a short break is often quite nice. On average, we walk for about an hour and a half, but if things are going well, it can also be longer. I always plan enough time so I don’t have to check my watch too often.

  1. Get in touch#

Send me a message or call me - you’re welcome to ask any questions that are on your mind.

  2. Initial Meeting#

To find out if the chemistry is right and whether or not you like the idea of Walk-and-Talk, it’s best to meet for a casual walk with no obligations. This initial meeting is free, and I won’t take it personally if you decide afterward that it’s not for you.

  3. We’re Moving#

If things go well, we should look for a weekday and time that works well for both of us. Usually one session every 1-3 weeks works well. If anything crosses our plans for the next session we try to let each other know at least one day in advance.

  4. Shared Goals#

It often makes sense to define certain goals or topics we want to work on together. However, it’s also normal for the focus to change over time, so we should regularly check whether we’re still on the right path.

On the way

Video calls have the advantage that they can be conducted flexibly from anywhere. In my experience, getting to know each other takes a bit longer online, but ultimately the conversations become similarly effective as with Walk-and-Talk. If you feel at home on the internet, it can sometimes even be the optimal form of counseling. If you have a VR headset, we can also conduct the sessions virtually!

Also online my goal is to be a reliable contact person in the long term. Every interpersonal relationship needs time to grow, and I’m committed to this process in any medium. We can also exchange longer messages occasionally if there are acute problems - we just need to find out what mode works for both of us.

For a Walk-and-Talk I charge €60, for online counseling €50 per session. It’s important to me that as many people as possible can take advantage of this service without it becoming a long-term financial burden. My goal is to continue offering counseling in this form long-term.
